The Chicago Blackhawks are taking on the Minnesota Wild tonight for an important Central Division showdown, and head coach Luke Richardson have made some notable changes to the starting roster.

It seems as if Chicago Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson is trying to find the right balance on his roster, and he's made some more notable changes ahead of tonight's matchup.

Taylor Hall is one of those forwards that had massive expectations coming into the 2024-25 campaign. Currently, Taylor Hall is having a below average start to the season, notching just 6 points in 15 regular season games, posting a -6 rating on the ice.

Playing alongside the likes of superstar Connor Bedard comes with added expectations, and so far, the combination of Hall and Bedard is flat out not working.

For whatever reason, Hall is failing to reach is offensive potential with Bedard, and Luke Richardson has now demoted Taylor Hall to the Blackhawks second line, promoting captain Nick Foligno to the top line in his stead.

The Bruins traded Hall to the Chicago Blackhawks on June 26, 2023.

Hall had a breakout season with the Devils in 2017-18, finishing with NHL career highs in goals (39), assists (54) and points (93). He helped New Jersey qualify for the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2012 and won the Hart Trophy voted as most valuable player.

It was recently reported that Taylor Hall's name is swirling in the trade rumour mill, but Hall remains adamant that he wants to stay in Chicago.

Despite his steady overall decline in production, GM Kyle Davidson should consider dealing Hall in a deadline transaction while he still retains some value.
