Chicago Blackhawks insider Ben Pope recently interviewed Chicago Blackhawks forward Teuvo Teravainen, and his confidence has reached an all-time low.

It's so secret by now that the Chicago Blackhawks are facing a terrifying offensive slump, and the overall sentiment in the locker room is reaching it's tipping point.

"[We're] getting less confident for sure,» Teravainen told the Sun-Times. «Nobody is really scoring. It's hard to get a goal. It's hard to even get power plays. We haven't created a lot of chances. It is frustrating.

"It's not going in our way right now,» he said. «Nothing is easy. It's a lot of work. It's a long way to go. We just have to get better and better. I don't like where we are right now, and nobody likes it.

«I've got to work harder or something,» Teravainen said. «I'm chasing the game a lot. [My] confidence is just getting lower and lower - like everybody, I feel like - but it's just how it is.»

According to Ben Pope, At 6-12-1 this season, their .342 points percentage ranks last in the NHL - quite a bit below the 31st-place Predators at .395. This is an unfamiliar - and unpleasant - reality for Teravainen, who had made the playoffs each of the last six seasons with the Hurricanes.

To make matters even worse, the Chicago Blackhawks are facing off against the defending Stanley Cup Champions tonight -- a challenging task after recently falling short to the Anaheim Ducks.

The Chicago Blackhawks have an extremely challenging schedule ahead of them, and the veterans on the team must band together to stop the bleeding before their season gets out of hand.
