Luke Richardson provides important update on Laurent Brossoit
This morning, Chicago Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson provided an update on goaltender Laurent Brossoit's current health status.
Laurent Brossoit is currently sidelined due to prolonged rehabilitation from knee surgery during the offseason.
Laurent Brossoit has recently been seen skating at Blackhawks practice, hinting at a potential return to the ice.
Richardson spoke about Brossoit as well, saying, "I don't think there's a setback yet. I just don't have any new updates on him." Soderblom has played great this season and "it's letting (Brossoit) have the chance to not rush back. Hopefully soon we can give you more of an indefinite update timeline."

Although Luke Richardson's update isn't necessarily anything too substantial, it's still worth mentioning that Borssoit's recovery is going well and there hasn't been any new set-backs in his recovery.
Brossoit has yet to suit up for the Blackhawks after signing a two-year deal to compete with Petr Mrazek for starts. It is great for the Blackhawks to see Soderblom be much improved as they will likely have to run with him a good chunk of the season more. The way he has improved, it could create a logjam in net when Brossoit does come back and create complications next season. Laurent «Larry» Brossoit was drafted by the Flames in 2011, but was traded to the Oilers in a deal that sent Ladislav Smid to Calgary.
Brossoit spent 10 seasons in the Oilers organization as an AHL goalie, and only appeared in 28 Oilers games.
Since departing Edmonton, Brossoit has gone on to become a quality backup goalie for the Winnipeg Jets and Vegas Golden Knights. This season in Chicago, it was hoped he could be a tandem goalie with Petr Mrazek.
Hopefully, Laurent Brossoit makes his highly anticipated return to the ice soon enough.
