Insider predicts huge trade with the Philadelphia Flyers

Breaking news in Hawks Nation as NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has linked Philadelphia Flyers forward Morgan Frost to the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Chicago Blackhawks are currently spiraling out of control, struggling to score goals -- tanking all the way to the bottom of the NHL standings.

With that being said, Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson is currently exploring the market for some help, and insider Elliotte Friedman as potentially found a viable solution to the Blackhawks offensive woes.

«Player-team that seem a match: Morgan Frost and Chicago,» the hockey insider wrote in his latest 32 Thoughts Column on Thursday. «Frost didn't play Wednesday against Carolina, the fourth game of the last five he's watched from the press box. He's not a complainer, prefers to keep any displeasure behind closed doors, but players want to play. Obviously, any dance needs partners who deal, but the Blackhawks, in dire need of centres, are one team that makes sense for him.»

Morgan Frost is currently in the Philadelphia Flyers dog-house. Head coach John Tortarella has benched Frost 4 of the last 5 games, and Friedman believes a change of scenery could be beneficial for the struggling forward.

So far, Frost has notched 6 points in 16 regular season games. Despite these numbers being relatively low, it's still an improvement in comparison to most Blackhawk centers this season.

It was recently reported that the Chicago Blackhawks are depleted regarding the centerman position, and Morgan Frost could be an an affordable option to bolster the Hawks in the face-off circle.

Still, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman believes the Chicago Blackhawks could be a good change of scenery for the embattled forward, and the Blackhawks desperately need a centerman.
