Well folks, things around the Chicago Blackhawks organization seem to be worsening as top prospect Artyom Levshunov is being called out for his lacklustre performance in the minors.

According to Ryan Hall of Hawks Insider, during the game where the Icehogs were tied with the Wild 3-3, Levshunov the control of the puck in the offensive zone where he attempted to make a move with his stick with the puck in which he coughed it up and allowed there forward to turn the puck back in which they scored.

Elite prospects describes Levshunov is quick, nimble, explosive, able to keep up with the play going forward, backward, sideways - you name it.

He's got four-way mobility to spare. And with a shot that he can fire in-stride and passing skill to match, he's always a threat to make something happen in open ice.

Having a defenceman like Artyom Levshunov in the Chicago farm system is amazing for the future growth of the team, but when you're a second overall pick, expectations are relatively high.

In his defence, he's only 19 years, and bad plays will happen. But the Chicago Blackhawks are currently struggling this season, posting just a 6-9-1 record.

As it stands, the Chicago Blackhawks defence has been getting exposed, and the team will eventually look to Artyom Levshunov to provide some much needed relief.

It's well documented that defenceman take a little longer to develop, similar to goaltenders.

Although bad plays are fully expected to happen, the Chicago Blackhawks will need Artyom Levshunov to step up, as fans expect him to be a candidate to crack the starting roster next season.
