The Chicago Blackhawks offensive woes keep growing
The Chicago Blackhawks offensive struggles continue to be a problem as the team was defeated by the Seattle Kraken last night by a score of 3-1.
Currently, the Chicago Blackhawks have managed just 4 goals in the last 5 games -- a level of production far from what's needed for a playoff push.
Last night's game was a snooze fest to say the least. After 2 full periods, the team was down by a score of 2-0, and signs of frustration were evident.
The lone goal from the Chicago Blackhawks last night came from an unassisted tally from Ryan Donato at 3:22 in the third period, and the teams superstar yet again fail to show up.
Head coach Luke Richardson's coaching methods have been called into question as the Blackhawks have seen a constant revolving door of roster changes and positional adjustments.
It is fair to say that the Hawks are an okay defensive team right now and get good goaltending regularly. However, their offense is brutal. Three shots after the first period and nine total after the second is not good enough.
There is plenty of people to blame for this but the truth of the matter is that all of their offensive players need to be better. Scoring one goal a game won't get it done in this league.

Chicago Blackhawks superstar Connor Bedard continues to be scrutinized as he has only managed 3 goals in 17 regular season games.
The Blackhawks will look for an offensive surge when they play the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday -- Connor Bedard's hometown.
