Patrick Kane continues to prove the hockey world he's still one of the greatest of all time, as he just reached another impressive career milestone.

Last night, the Detroit Red Wings faced off against the Pittsburgh Penguins, and Patrick Kane assisted on the overtime winner, marking his 28th career overtime assist -- tying Evgeni Malkin.

To make matters even more ironic, Patrick Kane reached this awesome milestone against the Pittsburgh penguins, and Evgeni Malkin was there to witness it.

The Detroit Red Wings ended up winning the game 3-2 in overtime, and Patrick Kane continues to the the league that despite his age, he's still one of the greatest of all time.

Patrick Kane scored 1 goal and notched 1 assist last night to help the Detroit Red Wings get back to a 7-7-1 record.

So far this season, Patrick Kane has notched 3 goals and 7 assists, putting his season total up to 10 points -- pretty darn good for a 35 year old.

Last season he played 50 games, scoring 20 goals with 27 assists for 47 points it was a - 5. He along with his Detroit team essentially willed themselves almost into the playoffs but fell short after they could not break the tiebreaker rule. Through 15 games this year, he has scored three goals with 7 assists for 10 points and is a - 4 with 17 minutes and 35 seconds of average ice time.
