Preview: Chicago Blackhawks take on the defending Stanley Cup Champions
Tonight, the Chicago Blackhawks have an extremely tough task ahead of them as they take on the defending Stanley Cup Champions.
The Chicago Blackhawks are currently in one of the worst offensive slumps in recent history and sit in the bottom of the standing, ranked 32nd overall.
With that being said, tonight's game will be far from easy as the Florida Panthers seem to be feeling no ill effect from the infamous "Stanley Cup Hangover".
The Florida Panthers have been one of the hottest teams to start the 2024-25 NHL season, posting a 12-6-1 record, which is the exact opposite of the Chicago Blackhawks 6-12-1 record.
Chicago forward Jason Dickinson posted two goals on Tuesday and now has three goals over his last four games. This marked Dickinson's first multi-goal game since Mar. 26 vs. CGY and his four goals this season now share third among all team skaters
Seth Jones has been rule out by the Chicago Blackhawks due to a foot injury sustained against the Seattle Kraken, his projected return to the ice has now been increased to 4 weeks -- a massive blow to the team.
Against Anaheim, Blackhawks forward Connor Bedard posted two helpers for his 12th career multi-assist game and passed Bobby Hull (11) for the second most by a teenager in Blackhawks history (Patrick Kane, 13)
He also became the sixth active player to register at least a dozen multi-assist games as a teenager, joining Sidney Crosby (31), Connor McDavid (17), Andrei Svechnikov (13), Patrick Kane (13) and Rasmus Dahlin (12).
-NHL The Chicago Blackhawks are in serious jeopardy of losing control of their season. Perhaps a win against the defending Stanley Cup Champions is exactly the kind of morale boost the team needs to get on track.
