It's time for Kyle Davidson to put the Chicago Blackhawks up for sale
Pittsburgh Penguins general manager recently announced that his entire team is up for grabs, and it's time for Kyle Davidson to follow suit.
Last night's matchup against the Anaheim Ducks presented a golden opportunity for the Chicago Blackhawks to make a statement and to turn their season around. Unfortunately, they fell short, losing by a score of 3-2.
The Chicago Blackhawks are currently sitting dead last in the NHL, ranking 32nd in the league. They have managed to scrape together a 6-12-1 record so far, and their season is rapidly spiraling out of control.
Understandably, the Hawks are currently undergoing a systemic rebuild from top to bottom, but the team is supposed to be making progress -- but seem to be worse off than they were the year prior.
A year ago the Blackhawks were 6-10-3 (15 points) whereas this year the Hawks are 6-12-1 (13 points) through the first 19 games of the season and sit dead last in the league.
Send the group text that you're open for business. Start making changes eeeeeeeeemmediately. Because, as I've been saying for a couple weeks and Scott Powers wrote after another one-goal loss last night, the roster that we're watching skate to a close loss every night is showing us who they are. Not good enough.
Start making room for the first wave of the next generation. It's time. Because you're not insulating Bedard at this point. He's frustrated. And being frustrated while surrounded with underperforming rentals isn't how you teach a young player to win. At the end of the day, winning is the point.

As it stands, the Chicago Blackhawks are going nowhere fast. Personally, it's time to clean house, starting with the head coach, and then finding suitable candidates to build around Connor Bedard.
