Luke Richardson had strong words for Petr Mrazek after shutdown performance

The Chicago Blackhawks have sparked quite a bit of buzz in the NHL today after edging out the red hot Minnesota Wild in overtime by a score of 2-1.

Petr Mrazek was an abolsute brick wall for the Chicago Blackhawks last night, He stopped 32 of 33 - including 18 of 19 in the 3rd period.

Although the Minnesota Wild made things interesting, tying things up at 15:29 in the final frame, the Chicago Blackhawks emerged victorious, winning the game in overtime by a score of 2-1.

After the game, Chicago Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson made himself available for his usual postgame interview, highlighting the significance of Petr Mrazek's performance.

«He was really dialed in and definitely the best player on both teams tonight, for sure,» Blackhawks coach Luke Richardson said. «I thought we played a really solid game, but he was there all game when we needed him. The third period, they kind of turned it on and we stopped making plays and they had the puck too much, and Petr was excellent and kept us in there right to the end.»

Petr Mrazek also earned some praise from teammate Alex Vlassic, also hyping up his goaltender for his standout performance.

«He was unbelievable,» Blackhawks defenseman Alex Vlasic said. «I feel like he's been that way the whole year, last year as well. We got to do a better job, I think, in the third period. When we get a lead, I think we talked about this before, where we just kind of back off a little bit and they start to pressure us really hard and we have breakdowns. And, yeah, Raz has always been there to back us up. We couldn't do it without him, for sure.»
