The Chicago Blackhawks took on the Vancouver Canucks last night, but the team struggled to generate any offence, losing by a score of 4-1.

What on earth is going on with the Chicago Blackhawks these days? The team is going through the worst offensive slump in recent memory, being held to just one even strength goal for the second straight game.

This is a bad stretch of lackluster offense and it is costing the Blackhawks games. They are defending well and getting good goaltending but they can't score. You can see why scratching the guy (Taylor Hall) with 268 goals and 436 assists for 703 points is strange.

People are going to get on Connor Bedard for his scoring slump. That's the pressure you face when you're the leader of the team when it comes to offense. However, he is far from the only guy that isn't doing his part. He's also 19 years old.

Chicago Blackhawks superstar Connor Bedard made his highly anticipated homecoming to Vancouver, but was held off the score sheet -- he has 3 goals in 18 regular season games.

The lone goal for the Blackhawks last night came from Ilya Mikheyev a 6:50 in the first period, but that was about it. Although the Blackhawks weren't terribly outshot 5-on-5, they can't seem to capitalize on any of their scoring chances.

The team appears to be struggling in every statistical category, but their season will soon fall into oblivion if they can't muster up some offence -- and fast.

The Anaheim Ducks are flying on Tuesday night. The Anaheim Duck are also having an abysmal start to their NHL season, and it should be a great opportunity for the team to gain some much needed confidence.
