The Chicago Blackhawks are coming off an impressive 2-1 overtime victory against the Minnesota Wild, but the team still has minor issues creeping into the fold.

Last Sunday's game against the Minnesota Wild presented a unique challenge for the Chicago Blackhawks, and the team answered the bell with crucial depth scoring from Jason Dickinson and Philipp Kurashev.

With that being said, Chicago Blackhawks superstar Connor Bedard has hit somewhat of an offensive slump, with no goals and just four points in his last seven outings.

Although he's currently sitting at a respectable 13 points in 16 regular season games, he's still nowhere near reaching his full offensive potential -- but who's to blame in this situation?

When taking an in depth look into Bedard's potential sophomore scoring slump, it all comes down to coaching and management failing to provide Connor Bedard with ideal linemates to generate sustained offensive production.

Over the course of 16 regular season games, Connor Bedard has endured a revolving door of depth players undergoing "tryouts" on the top line, yet none have found long lasting chemistry with him so far.

Despite Connor Bedard's recent goal drought, head coach Luke Richardson emphasizes that he must find offensive consistency, no matter who his line-mates are.

He has to find that consistency, no matter who he's playing with,'' Richardson said Monday. But we do have to look at the numbers and see who he's playing well with, just like everybody else, and maybe go back [to something that worked]. It's definitely in the bingo machine.''

In a recent interview, Connor Bedard addressed his scoring slump, admitting he's been making less of an impact this season compared to last.

Earlier in the year, I was making a lot of plays, [feeling] pretty dangerous out there,'' Bedard said. Lately, I've been [making] less of an impact and not really making a difference. So hopefully I can contribute more.''

Regardless, it appears that head coach Luke Richardson will continue with the "bingo machine strategy", with no plans to stop rotating depth players on Bedard's line until something clicks.
