Last night, the Chicago Blackhawks kicked off their two game road-trip against the Seattle Kraken, and the team's offensive woes continue to have a detrimental impact on their success.
Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Petr Mrazek had another solid performance, and the team's play in the defensive zone seems to be improving on a nightly basis.
With that being said, the issues the Blackhawks are facing aren't stemming from the back-end. Scoring just 4 goals in the past 5 games, the teams offensive superstars can't seem to find the back of the net.
During a post game interview, Chicago Blackhawks Luke Richardson provides some insight into to what potentially went wrong last night.
Personally, I don't agree with Richardson's statement one bit. The Chicago Blackhawks looked slow from the get-go, chasing the puck for the majority of the game.
Luke Richardson seems to believe that the offensive struggles are coming directly from a sense of frustration. Although this may be accurate, what seems to be the most frustrating theme so far is the constant juggling of lines.
Through 17 regular season games, Richardson has failed to stick with a solidified top 6, making it near impossible to generate any sort of offensive consistency.
The team will look to rebound when they take on the Vancouver Canucks on Saturday.
