As far as the Chicago Blackhawks power ranking goes, I would be inclined to agree. Currently sitting at a 6-9-1 record, one word comes to mind when analyzing the Blackhawks season so far: inconsistent.
With just 3 goals in the past 4 games, the Blackhawks have been looking disconnected offensively.
The 4th period describes Connor Bedard's start to the season as "pedestriant", which comes as no real shocker to Hawks enthusiasts -- having only scored 3 goals in 16 games so far.
In a recent interview, the young phenom admitted to "not playing great", and this could be directly correlated to the infamous sophomore slump.
On the bright side, the team has had some standout performances from goaltender Petr Mrazek between the pipes, and some stellar 2-way play from depth forward Jason Dickinson.
