Breaking news in Hawks Nation as the team has just announced their projected starting roster against the Anaheim Ducks, and forward Taylor Hall finds himself back on in the lineup after being benched against the Vancouver Canucks last Saturday.

The Chicago Blackhawks are taking on the Anaheim Ducks tonight, and the team will look to breakout of their miserable scoring slump.

The Anaheim Ducks haven't faired much better than the Blackhawks so far, posting a 7-8-2 record, currently sitting at 26th in the league.

While Chicago Blackhawks have plummeted down the NHL standings (32nd), tonight presents a golden opportunity for the Hawks to put some points on the board and regain some much needed confidence.

Chicago is 11-2-1 in their last 14 games against Anaheim and 7-0-1 over their last eight home contests against them. Taylor Hall has an active five-game point streak against Anaheim (2G, 4A) and points in eight of his last nine games against the club (2G, 7A).

Pat Maroon played in 204 career games with the Ducks, registering 79 points (26G, 53A) from 2011-16. During their last meeting on Nov. 3, Connor Bedard posted three assists, while Hall notched two assists during a 4-2 victory over the Ducks at Honda Center.

Chicago Blackhawks head coach Luke Richardson sticks with his questionable pattern of line rotations, with Anderson being bumped to the first line playing alongside Connor Bedard.

Taylor Hall also finds himself back in the top 6, and fans are hoping the Hawks ace comes out firing on all cylinders after being benched the previous game.

I think it's safe to say that the Chicago Blackhawks are in desperate need of a moral victory here tonight.

If they fail to get it done, this loss could be the defining moment of their entire season.
