Taylor Hall shares his perspective on the Luke Richardson situation
The Chicago Blackhawks are reaching a low point in their season, and Ace scorer Taylor Hall seems to be disgruntled after head coach Luke Richardson benched him before last Saturday's game against the Vancouver Canucks.
During practice yesterday, Taylor Hall spoke to the Blackhawks media, breaking down the situation from his point of view.
It appears that Taylor Hall felt pretty blind-sided by Luke Richardson, stating he had no idea his game was slumping to the point where being healthy scratched was even an option.
Taylor Hall reluctantly admitted there was very little communication between he and Richardon, and Hall felt "surprised" to be removed from the lineup.
"I was surprised. It was unexpected, from the standpoint of I just didn't know I was even close to being in that spot, really," Hall said Monday. "If there were some conversations in the days leading up about my game, or if I was constantly being shown video, that would be one thing. So I was a bit surprised."

Being a former Hart Trophy winner often comes with large expectations. So far, Hall has managed just 2 goals and 4 assists and is a -5 rating through 17 regular season game.
It will be interesting to see how many games Richardson decides to leave Hall sidelined for.
As it stands, Taylor Hall will be out for an indefinite amount of time. Perhaps this exactly the wakeup call needed for Hall to break out of his offensive slump.
The Chicago Blackhawks have a great opportunity to turn their season around tonight against a struggling Anaheim Ducks squad.
Chicago now find themselves at the very bottom of the NHL standings (32nd) and the team must find a way to win tonight. Confidence is at an all-time low, and the team needs a desperate moral victory.
