The Chicago Blackhawks are taking on the Minnesota Wild tonight in an important Central Division matchup.

The Chicago Blackhawks are currently riding a 2 game losing skid, and the team cannot afford to drop anymore games as falling 5-10-1 would be a challenging deficit to claw back from.

The Minnesota Wild have been red hot as of late, posting at an impressive 10-2-2 record, sitting at 3rd overall in the NHL standings.

Teuvo Teravainen has 13 points (3G, 10A) over his last nine contests against Minnesota, with points in eight of those nine games and three multi-point efforts. Taylor Hall has 10 points (4G, 6A) over his last nine games against the Wild, including a three-point night (1G, 2A) in his last game against the club while with Boston. Newcomer Tyler Bertuzzi scored the lone goal for the Blackhawks on the power play, and the Chicago special teams continue to deflate the team.

Connor Bedard and Ryan Donato each recorded an assist. Seth Jones led all game skaters with seven hits, while Nick Foligno ranked second with five hits. Arvid Soderblom made 37 saves on 39 shots. Chicago was perfect on the penalty kill, going 3-for-3. As a team, the Blackhawks posted 39 hits to just 15 hits for the Stars.

Coming into to tonight's matchup, all eyes will be on young Blackhawks phenom to start putting up crucial points, while simultaneously mitigating costly penalties.

Bedard has been in the box quite a bit as of late, and the Chicago Blackhawks must make every attempt to play a clean game as penalties have been killing any positive momentum the team has been generating.
