All in all, the Chicago Blackhawks played a respectable 200 ft game, but their offensive struggles continue to impact the team, in addition to unnecessary penalties killing momentum.
With that being said, Chicago Blackhawks phenom Connor Bedard is under the NHL microscope today after taking yet another uncharacteristic penalty last night against Dallas Stars defenceman Ilya Lyubushkin.
7:05 left in the 2nd period, Connor Bedard's frustration boiled over, kicking the stick out of Lyubushkin's hand, resulting in a 2 minute minor.
Although the Dallas Stars failed to capitalize on the man advantage, mindless penalties like that a perfect example of what kills any sort of positive flow to the game.
This criticism comes after Connor Bedard took a similar penalty against former Blackhawks legend Patrick Kane, which seems so be out of character for someone like Bedard.
Despite his frustration impacting the team, you would be remise not to acknowledge his overall production.
Currently, the young forward is sitting at 12 points( 3G, 9A) in 14 games with the Hawks - virtually a point per game player.
The Chicago Blackhawks will look to bounce back when they take on the Minnesota Wild on Sunday.
